SLR EOS – The Digital Rebel T1i Faces the Competition

canon eos rebel - T1i-500D
Not that it makes as much a difference as you may suppose, but the D90 Digital SLR has a puny (12.3MP) image sensor than the more affordable T1i Rebel (15.1MP). The image sensor used by Canon at present, is not their optimum sensor.
The APS-C sensor deployed in the Rebel SLR EOS T1i, will be severely tested to handle 15.1 megapixels in the best of situations.
To accomplish a higher megapixel rate, Canon selected to place the pixels closer , and to use smaller pixels than the Nikon D90 12.3MP uses. A more accurate indicator of image quality than mega-pixels, is pixel density. We would never consider this standard lens for use with the T1i SLR, and would instead suggest investing a couple extra bucks in one of Canon’s more precise zoom lenses like for instance the 17-85mm Canon EF-S IS or the 18-200mm Canon EF-S instead.
Excessive pixel density can adversely affect diffraction, dynamic range, and ISO. Dx O Mark testing is not yet completed, but the digital rebel T1i uses the Canon EOS Camera 50D sensor. The testing has shown, that the D90 SLR image sensor is considerably better than the Canon 50D sensor.

If capturing high def movies is a must have feature in your future digital SLR camera acquisition, then the Canon EOS Camera T1i SLR Eos is understandably a digital SLR camera you should consider. With the Canon Rebel T1i, you can alternate between 1080p at 20ps for high def movies, or 720p resolution at thirty fps. If you take a lot of minimal lighting scenes, then the 12,800 ISO ratings packaged with the Canon Rebel T1i may be important. It would appear that Nikon understands the limits of the Nikon D90, and decided not to push a ridiculously high ISO of 12,800 on the D90 Digital SLR.
A careful scrutiny of images from a Nikon D90 DX and a Canon SLR Eos Rebel T1i will reveal the facts. Canons ISO noise reduction strategies work somewhat, but often blur the detail of photographs.
When it comes to swiftness and noise, the Nikon D90 12.3MP is a superior DSLR than the Canon SLR Rebel T1i. Shutter velocity is one. The D90 Digital SLR does both quicker than the Canon EOS digital camera Rebel T1i.
A Canon EOS Rebel T1i Discovery
The apparent divergence in image sensors between the Nikon D90 12.3MP and the Canon EOS Rebel T1i is 15.1 mega-pixels, and 12.3MP respectively. If the Canon Rebel T1i wants to have a more tempting megapixel ranking, with a sensor that is really smaller than the Nikon D90 DX DX image sensor, then they need to use smaller pixels, and herd them a little closer together on the image sensor. The Canon digital SLR EOS Rebel T1i and it’s 15.1 megapixel needs a significantly superior lens instead of the ordinary kit lens EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS currently packaged by Canon I know it’s way more dollars, but the Canon 18-200mm EF-S would have been a better choice for the Canon EOS Slr Rebel T1i.
Dx-O-Mark testing is not currently available, but the Canon Rebel T1i uses the Canon 50D SLR sensor. The testing has shown, that the D90 image sensor is superior to the Canon EOS SLR 50D sensor.
