Pentax digital camera, a popular brand in the digital world, is completely owned brand of Hoya Corporation. During 1960′s, a campaign slogan for Pentax spoke “just hold a Pentax”. The cameras that were manufactured by Pentax Corporation during 1960′s-70 were compact and functional, with smooth controls for operating. Some of the latest digital cameras from Pentax are the Pentax K200D, Pentax K20D, Pentax Optio W60, Pentax K10D.
The Pentax K20D digital SLR model follows the footsteps of the company’s successful K10D model. The K20D camera is a newly manufactured 14.6-megapixel with CMOS sensor. The Pentax digital Slr K20D continues to provide both; the dust-reduction policies used in the K10D as well as K100D cameras like vibration of the sensor which will remove the dust particles.

Are Pentax Digital SLR Cameras Any Good?
I was never really a professional with photography, but I was getting tired of the same old point-and-shoot camera. I eventually reached the decision to buy the Pentax digital cameras SLR K200D. First of all, the camera offered weather sealing. On the box, it claims that it is the only camera in the industry (DSLR cameras) that is weather sealed. Secondly, the camera allows users to take high quality JPEG and RAW photos at the same time. Most other cameras do not offer this, and alternatively only offer medium quality JPEG photos.
On another note, the camera is like the tank of cameras. I read many reviews from buyers of Sony and Nikon cameras, and many claimed that the cameras consisted of cheap lenses and were not very sturdy. Furthermore, the Pentax digital camera is complete opposite of those.
Even if I do run out of batteries, I can virtually go to any store and purchase batteries.
The camera features in-body stabilization. This feature helped save many of my photos! Lastly, the camera is an APS-C sensor, a feature that attracted many buyers.
So how do I like the camera? The autofocus on the camera is very quick as well. The price was reasonable, and if I could, I would have bought this camera way before I bought any of my other cameras. The Pentax digital K200D makes the idea of SLR cameras easy for beginners like me.
Pentax Digital SLR Cameras Tips
Until recently I had several point-and-shoot cameras, but none of them made by Canon camera, Olympus, Nikon, Sony or Pentax. I did a lot of research about DSLRs, read reviews and looked at various models performances and features. Here are some of the reasons I chose this model from Pentax digital over other’s that I’ve read about:
1) It’s the first camera in its class that is environmentally sealed
2) While some models can only save medium quality JPEG, the Pentax digital SLR K200D allows high quality JPEG and RAW saving at the same time (RAW+).
3) Like a preview from Popular Photography read, this camera is the mixture of a SLR with a tank.
4) The model supports any Pentax digital SLR lens that was ever made.
5) In-body stabilization – it’s a very neat feature. It translates to the lenses you buy and not once did it save my shots.
The autofocus system is pretty quick, though I did experience slight delays at low light. I’ve tried using it in low-light situations, at night, and I got pretty good results.
